I have been Involved In the sport of pure-bred dogs since the 197O’s. I am a former two-time President of the Welsh Terrier Club of America, a former two-time President of the Northern California Terrier Association, I am a former President of the Central Oklahoma Toy Dog Club, I am currently the Vice-President of the Sacramento Kennel Club, and a Board member for over 30 years, and a member of the Sacramento Valley kennel Club. I am considered to be a Terrier and Working Dog Specialist. My kennel name Is “La Sierra”. I am best known for Welsh Terriers. I am a AKC Breeder of Merit. The top Winning Welsh Terrier In the history of the breed (one hundred All Breed Best in Show’s) is out of my breeding. My breeding has produced a group winner at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club (one of only two, in the last fifty years). My breeding program has also produced numerous All-Breed Best in Show winners, National Specialty winners, Specialty winners, and eight Best of Breed winners at the Welsh Terrier Cub of America National Specialty. I have Bred and Owner-Handled over 40 Welsh Terriers to their championship’s, most with specialty wins. I have owned and Owner-Handled Lakelands Terriers, Welsh Terriers, Wire Fox Terriers, Manchester Terriers (Std), and Great Danes. As a Professional All Breed handler, for over twenty years, I have shown and finished Champions in many of the breed in the Terrier Group. I have also finished Champions in many other breeds and groups. I have shown several dogs to top National Ranking’s in several groups. After retiring from a successful career as an owner of several franchised auto parts stores (CAR-QUEST) I applied to the AKC to be approved to judge. I am now approved to judge Best in Show, the Working Group, the Terrier Group, 15 Non-Sporting breeds, all Sight Hounds, Dachshunds, Pomeranians, Toy Poodles, Chinese Cresteds, Italian Greyhounds, Toy Manchester Terriers, and the Miscellaneous Class. I have judged over 250 All-Breed, Group, and Specialty Shows in the U.S. I have also judged over 50 All-Breed and Specialty Shows at International Competitions. I have judged All breeds, all Groups, Specialties and All Breed Best in Show’s in 12 different FCI countries worldwide. I have traveled to several international countries to make kennel visits and to observe and discuss dogs with prominent breeders, exhibitors, and judges. In the past few years, I have judged several Regional and National Specialties. I have judged the Terrier Group twice at the prestigious Montgomery County Kennel Club weekend. I have also judged the Welsh Terrier Club of America National Specialty at Montgomery County Kennel Club. I have judged in Alaska, Argentina, Australia, China, Colombia, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama, Puerto Rico, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand and multiple states in the U.S. I am currently scheduled to judge in, or have been contacted about judging In South Africa, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Guatemala, Hungary, India, Ireland, Moldavia, Italy, South Korea, Morocco, Pakistan, Spain, Vietnam, Russia, and numerous All-Breed, Specialty, and Group shows in the U.S in the next thirty-six months.If additional information or other background is needed, please feel free to contact me.
