The most important tourist areas of Gradiska are Kozara, Prosara and Potkozarje, then the Posavina area with the town area, Donja dolina, the Sava River and Lijevce polje with its numerous picnic areas, ponds and streams. In addition to the Sava River, the municipality is rich in mountain rivers, largest of which are Vrbaska, Jablanica, Jurkovica and Lubina. Also important tourist sites of Gradiska are archaeological sites of Vrbaski grad and Manastiriste and also Jurkovicka cave. Today, in Gradiska, there is one of the major international border crossings in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina connecting it with the Republic of Croatia for passenger and cargo traffic.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"ast-oembed-container \" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Gradi\u0161ka iz zraka - dron.ba za N1\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cbETeGsbWkg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">According to its geographical position Gradi\u0161ka belongs to the humid continental climate suitable for the development of tourism throughout the year. In a year, all four seasons are present with an average monthly temperature. The average annual temperature is 11\u00b0C. During the year, on average there are 80 days with temperatures above 25\u00b0C, 90 days with temperatures below 0\u00b0C. On average there are 200 days of the heating season, with the temperatures below 12\u00b0C. The average number of sunny days per year is 90. The conditions for the production of winter crops are suitable in the climate conditions for growing spring crops. Agricultural producers have no influence on climatic factors such as precipitation, air temperature and relative humidity, but they are generally adapted to them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/togradiska.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Gradi%C5%A1ka-37.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Forests<\/span><\/h3>\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Historically, the municipality of Gradi\u0161ka has a long tradition of forestry. By the end of the 19th century, Austria-Hungary started exploiting wood in this area. The importance of forests in the municipality of Gradi\u0161ka is large and is reflected in the following: wood as a raw material is of great importance for the wood industry; the forests have impact on climate regulation, protect the land from erosion and have a great tourist and recreational value.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Forests and forest lands make up about 27.5% of the total land of the municipality of Gradi\u0161ka, while the average annual wood mass increment is about 150,000 m3, while the average annual cut is about 100,000 m3. The primary (production of sawn wood) and final wood processing (furniture production) is developed in the area of the municipality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Based on this natural resource, a wood processing industry with different levels of wood processing developed. Wood processing industry is the oldest industrial branch in the municipality of Gradi\u0161ka. The first sawmill was built in 1855 in Gornji Podgradci.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The forest estate \u201cGradi\u0161ka\u201d manages a total of 15293.40 ha of forest area, and the remaining forest areas of 6643.23 ha are managed by private forest owners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/togradiska.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Kozara-2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Waters<\/span><\/h3>\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Clean water is an important resource that the municipality of Gradi\u0161ka has. Under Lijev\u010de polje according to experts, there are significant reserves of clean, drinking water. Given the speed at which global supplies of drinking water are being reduced, it is especially important that this resource is taken into account in future development flows. In that sense, stronger and more active protection of the waters in the area of our municipality is necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The catchment area of the municipality of Gradi\u0161ka consists of the catchment area of the Sava River and its tributaries on the area of 657.7 km<sup>2<\/sup>\u00a0(86,31%) and the Vrbas River basin on the area of 104.3 km<sup>2<\/sup>\u00a0(13,69%). The larger river flows in the municipality are Jablanica (with tributaries Pisari\u0107, Bajnovac, Bukovica, Ljutava, Vrba\u0161ka, Trnova, Lubina, Jurkovica, etc.) that take surface waters from Kozara and Prosara in the Sava River, while Osorna with Borna through the canal water in Vrbas and Lake Barda\u010da.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">According to the strategic document \u201cDevelopment and Construction of Irrigation Systems in the Municipality of Gradi\u0161ka and the Municipality of Lakta\u0161i\u201d, the termination of use of underground water reserves of Lijev\u010de polje is predicted as well as solving of the irrigation problem by the construction of special purpose reservoirs for irrigation on the river basins of Jurkovica, Lubina, Vrba\u0161ka, Jablanica and Turjanica. By building these special purpose accumulations, the total volume of accumulation of 45.913 million m<sup>3<\/sup>\u00a0would be provided and water for irrigation of up to 11.000 ha of irrigation area would be provided.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In the area of the Gradi\u0161ka municipality there are various types of rocks having several types of mineral raw materials. Previous research has shown that there are coal, brick clay, technical building stone, then quartz, copper and mercury mineralization, and architectural decorative stone and others in this area. Brick clay is found in the part of alluvial deposits at the site of the Bok Jankovac site, where its organized exploitation is done. Technical building stone \u2013 Diabase is found at several sites in the area of Kozara. The largest massif in the Trnovo \u2013 Vu\u010dijak region is exploited in an organized manner. Organized exploitation of sand and gravel is also done in the bed of the Sava River.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/togradiska.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Pe%C4%87ina-3.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/togradiska.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Lijevce-polje-4.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Sport<\/span><\/h3>\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">There are 77 sports organizations and clubs active in the territory of the municipality within 20 sports areas. The tradition of organized sports has been present for over 100 years, and the top results are achieved in some areas of competitive sports (football, basketball, bowling, and volleyball).
